TURTLE BAY NORWICH - FOOD REVIEW*

A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to attend the beautiful Turtle Bay press launch. You can see all the pictures of their gorgeous restaurant and a very quick review of the food in a taster session here. I was blown away with how lovely the staff were and the laid back and bright vibes. The food was amazing and full of flavour and spice, so I was thrilled when I was asked to come back to do a full review. Again, I was greeted by enthusiastic and friendly staff which made you feel instantly welcomed. The waitress even recognised me from the press night which shows that they really pay attention to detail and insures each person has a great experience.

We were fortunate enough to arrive just in time for the 2 for 1 cocktails, so we didn't have 1, not even 2, but 3 cocktails each to get us going! We chose 2 each of the One Love because it's one of the best cocktails I've ever had, and also a Bay Bramble to keep us going with the fruit theme! The One Love is a passion fruit martini which is beautiful, and the Bay Bramble has a blackberry flavour to it. After a cocktail we then ordered our food - I had been looking forward to this all day. I wanted to go with something I hadn't tried at the press event so I went for the Hot Hot Pepper Roti (Which is now my all time favourite thing.), Trinidad Curry Chicken followed by a Banana & Toffee Cheesecake.

The atmosphere was brilliant as always. While we were waiting for our food we chatted amongst the Caribbean music as we drank beautiful boozy cocktails - What's not to love? We first had the Hot Hot Pepper Roti, which are incredible. They're soft, tasty and everything you want in a starter. These have a little heat kick to it also, but nothing too overpowering to mask the yummy taste. There's a scotch bonnet and mayo sauce drizzled over the top, to add a little heat.

We then moved onto our mains, which were both gorgeous! I did have a try of Sophie's too, all for review purposes of course! My Trinidad Curry Chicken arrived in a pot accompanied with some kind of flat bread, which was great for absorbing all of that lovely sauce - you don't want to waste it! It was full of flavour and had a little heat to it which keeps it interesting. The mango in it was beautiful. The idea of fruit being in my savoury food usually scares me, but it complimented the dish so well. When I come back to Turtle Bay this will be what I go for. Sophie's Mo' Bay chicken came with the most amazing sweet potato fries - I had more than my share that's for sure.

Banana & Toffee Cheesecake.

I adored what came next - the Banana & Toffee Cheesecake. Wherever I go I will go for a cheesecake, so I'm unintentionally picky, but this one hit the spot. It was creamy, sweet and yummy. The toffee sauce that was poured over the top worked so well with the banana. I was in cheesecake heaven. I nabbed a bit of Sophie's brownie too, which was equally as delicious.

Overall if you're after tasty, filling and flavoursome food, Turtle Bay is the way to go. The atmosphere is amazing with it's themed music and the restaurant looks beautiful. The staff make the evening as they're friendly, attentive and so lovely. As I said before, you can check out the interior in my previous post here. ELIZAVECCA MILKY PIGGY - CARBONATED BUBBLE CLAY MASK - REVIEW

I've heard about this mask everywhere - just type 'bubble mask' into Youtube and there will be no end of 'first impressions' and demos. This mask is everywhere. The weird part of this which has everyone talking is that the mask bubbles up. That's right. Bubbles. It's for sure one of those 'see it to believe it' type of products, and I wasn't left disappointed.

I picked this up in TKMaxx as they now have a KOREAN SKINCARE SECTION!!! I'm the happiest girl in the world! I'm a huge Korean beauty fan and use Korean products daily. If you haven't experienced any Korean beauty before, this could be a great place to start.

I'm a huge fan of Korean skin care, and used to love the Memebox until it stopped shipping to the UK (Correct me if I'm wrong). I posted a few of the boxes on my blog which you can find here and here. These boxes are the main reason I got into Korean skincare as I fell in love with Tony Moly and Etude House. Not just because of the cutest packaging in the world, but because the products are innovative and genuinely amazing.

The packaging of this is cute! I love the little piggy, and when you open the product up, there's a handy spatula which means you can apply the product without using your fingers, which is one of my pet peeves. There's nothing worse than getting your fingers messy. The product itself is a jelly-like consistency which is really strange, but easy to manage and spread onto the chosen areas. The mask claims to unclog pores and get off makeup that's left behind while helping tame the oil. I have a very oily nose while the rest of my face is normal and usually pimple free. But my nose is ridden with blackheads and I'm yet to totally get rid of them all.

As soon as you put the mask onto the face you have a couple of moments to evenly pop it on the face, but I wouldn't worry too much about that as it foams up to cover the whole area anyway. You have about ten seconds before it starts foaming up, and a little product really does go a long way.

I left it on for about 15-20 minutes before washing away the foam, and as you can see it really does foam up! It starts off as a pricking sensation which isn't as unpleasant as it may sound. The prickling feeling really feels like it's getting to work into the pores. After washing it off my face felt amazing. Soft and clean! I usually get blackheads out with a comedone extractor, but this mask really does lift dead skin cells. I would recommend doing this before bed and not before a night out as this does leave open pores. I recommend some cold water to close them and then apply your moisturiser before bed as usual.

Overall I am in love with this, and it really did help clear out my pores. I will continue to use this and hope that it helps banish the blackheads for good. This is totally worth £10, so pick it up in TKmaxx next time you pop in!

JEFFREE STAR - QUEEN BEE - REVIEW AND SWATCH

I'm a huge fan of the Jeffree Star liquid lipsticks, and I have a few already. Including Jawbreaker and Blue Velvet which you can read about here and I'm Royalty and 714 here. I love the formula, the colours and the staying power - It sounds like the dream lipstick, doesn't it? Jeffree Star recently came out with his summer collection and every colour is to die for. I'm a bit strapped for cash (as always) so I limited myself to one lipstick and it had to be Queen Bee. I hadn't seen a yellow liquid lipstick that bold before, so I couldn't resist. I dreamed of applying it as eyeliner and thought about cool lip designs and knew I had to have it.

The formula wasn't as opaque as I'd liked it to have been, so I have to pat it on to get a full enough coverage. Another thing to say about the formula which I was too excited to experience, is the watermelon scent. And oh boy it did not disappoint! It smells heavenly! It instantly reminds me of summer and watermelon cocktails, I can't get enough.

I'm yet to try it on the lids as an eyeliner, but I've used 714 and Jawbreaker in the past and I've loved it. The staying power of Queen Bee is brilliant, and is easy to take off with an oil based makeup remover. It's kiss resistant like all the other shades, but you can't make out! It leaves little to none residue on glasses which is great for the washing up! For a bright coloured lipstick, I'm impressed. It lacks a little in the application but it's easily worked around if you're willing to put in the extra few minutes to get that perfect, crisp colour.

If you're wanting this shade definitely do it now while you can, as I can see it slowly selling out at different shops. I bought mine straight from the Jeffree Star website. Have you tried any of the Jeffree Star shades? And if so, which one should I go for next?
