ILLAMASQUA POWDER EYE SHADOW IN MOONFLOWER AND BOOMERANG, ELECTRUM LIQUID METAL AND GLISTER PRECISION INK SWATCHES AND REVIEWS.

I was super excited when my loving boyfriend treated me with some bits from Illamasqua. I have another nail varnish to show you in Radium which I am excited for! I picked up two Powder Eye Shadows in Moonflower and Boomerang. I also picked up one of their Liquid Metal shadows in Electrum and one of their Precision Ink in Glister.

I am quite literally in love with how amazing these shadows are. The pigment is incredible and the formula is so smooth and soft with some serious colour pay off. Moonflower is on the left - A gorgeous delicate shimmery white with a slight hint of cream. This is stunning all over the lids or just in the corners. I also noticed that it makes a lovely subtle high lighter if applied softly. We then move onto Boomerang which you can already see its amazing colour. It's so smooth to apply and needs little to achieve good colour. I love this shade of brown and is perfect for a crease colour or because of its matte texture I can apply this to my eyebrows to create a natural look. I am over the moon about these colours and I am so excited to pick up more shades from Illamasqua,

This is the Liquid Metal in Electrum. I was so excited to try this out, and when swatched it has an unbelievable shimmer and colour pay off. It also reflects light so effortlessly and looks gorgeous. Unfortunately that's were the praise ends for me. I was so disappointed as this really looked beautiful in the pot and swatched. Once on the lids it pretty much creased on me straight away. I even tried primer and even setting spray and nothing seemed to help. I was so upset as it looked so lovely and applied so well. I used this product heavily in a recent look which you can find here.

Glister, one of Illamasqua's Precision Ink eyeliners is a pretty nude nude/tanned looking eyeliner with gorgeous small shimmering blue and violet iridescent glitter. I love how different this eyeliner is and I can't wait to incorporate it in some of my looks. It stays put too which is great, and lasts the whole of the day without fading. The applicator is great for creating precise lines.

NAILS OF THE DAY MAC GLAMOUR DAZE NAIL VARNISH LOOK - BLACK BORDER/FRAME

Who ever saw the gorgeous Mac Glamour Daze collection may recognise this picture, and these gorgeous nails. I fell in love with them but for some reason never brought myself to do them. I'm not very steady so I put off trying. After browsing past Mac collections I came across this picture again and wanted to try it straight away. Before you read on, I must say that I really am not steady when it comes to make up and nails! 

I used Illamasqua Nail Polish in Jan and Rio black art pen. I love Illamasqua nail polishes, although I've had a little hiccup with one of their colours, see that post here. I also used the amazing Rio pen in another look here.

The nip on the Rio Art Pen is perfect for creating precise nail art so I thought this was ideal in recreating the Glamour Daze look.

And here it is! A sleek and simple look that just oozes stylish chic. To do this look I applied two layers of Jan and waited to dry. I then used the nip on the Rio Art Pen to frame my nails. There's no wrong way of doing this, I literally just lined my nails. As you can see the black line is a bit shaky, I have the worst technique to achieve a perfect look, however I was pretty happy with how it turned out. The Glamour Daze look is done with mint polishes, and a pastel pink. I think this would work best with more powdery colours as it would create more of a contrast. ILLAMASQUA BODY ELECTRICS ILLUMINE SHIMMER BODY OIL SWATCH AND REVIEW

I received this Illamasqua Body Electrics Illumine Oil from the lovely Holly Arabella a week a go as she no longer wanted it. I WAS SO HAPPY. I'd spotted this a few weeks prior and wanted this so bad. First of all, how gorgeous does this look? The body oil is part of the Illamasqua Body Electrics collection, featuring more gorgeous eyeshadows and stunning nail varnishes. For some reason I expected it to be slightly bigger, but in fact its the size and probably volume of a foundation. But that aside, it still looks gorgeous. Sitting on my shelf it looks so pretty, the golden liquid shimmering and catching the light. I just can't get over how beautiful this looks. I almost can't trust my self holding it, imagine if it broke all over my floor and the gorgeous magical liquid got absorbed into my carpet! The thought kills me!

How gorgeous does this look? Amongst all the golden and bronze shimmers I spot some silver and violet iridescent specs. It's just simply breathtaking. Another thing you notice straight away is it's tropical scent. This oil has a gorgeous passion fruit smell to it, and once rubbed into the skin I can smell a soft scent of passion fruit. I'm a massive fan of body shimmer, and this is most definitely in my top 3. Once spread over my decollatage, the oil is immediately soaked up leaving no grease feeling - Just gorgeous shimmer! This photo below doesn't do it any justice, this body oil really does give some amazing shine. I love using this, and I love the way it looks on my shelf, catching the light so delicately. Because of how expensive it is, I don't want to use much of it! A great point of this product is it's life, it lasts 2 years! Such a bonus for me. You can grab this bottle of gorgeous shimmer in two colours, Volt and Pulse. The one I have here is in Pulse. You can get it from Debenhams for £32. As I said, a little to expensive for body shimmer. ILLAMASQUA NAIL VARNISH ELOPE AND JAN SWATCH AND REVIEW

I've never tried Illamasqua Nail Varnishes before, and I was eager to try them out. I managed to get Jan, the gorgeous pastel powder pink, and Elope, a bright - yet deep - leaf green. As soon as I got these I was so excited to try them out. Look below the swatches for what I thought of them!

My favourite one was Jan, it applied effortlessly, and really did deliver amazing colour with the '2 coats' it claims. I love how this powdery pink looks on my nails, so girly and very Spring! This nail varnish made me very excited to try Elope. Elope was a let down for me, as you can see, you can still see the tips of my nails - This was after 3 coats too. I couldn't be bothered for more coats to be honest as I really wasn't getting on with this shade, however it did look nice over a white polish base.  I was very surprised as Jan went on my nails like a dream. I found Jan way more creamier to apply in contrast with the more watery consistency of Elope. I'm gutted about Elope and it put me off buying other nail varnishes from them, even though Jan was such a pleasure to put on my nails. These babies dried so quick, within 5 minutes I walked out of my flat and to uni. These also took a lot of beating to them and didn't chip for a few days, so I was very happy with that. You can still get the shade Elope from Debenhams here for £13.50 if you want to give it a try, but I wouldn't recommend this personally. In comparision with OPI which are usually £11, I found that OPI had no competition with Illamasqua Nail Varnishes. However Jan is a colour I would tell everyone about, but is discontinued after being part of their Core Collection, but still found occasionally online.
