MAKEUP REVOLUTION NEW-TRALS VS NEUTRALS PALETTE MAKEUP LOOK

I adore this palette, and it's my current go-to autumn eye shadow palette. The pigmentation in these shadows do not reflect the £6.99 price tag at all, as these are super blendable and the pigmentaion is insane. Whenever I want to use a red toned matte shadow, I always reach for this palette. Vogue, Trend, New-tral and Tone are all incredible matte red hued shadows. If you want to see a full in depth review of this palette, you can see the swatches all here. I wanted to create an evening look with both light and dark shades!

I began using Partial all over the lid, and then added Tone in the crease and corners. I then layered on Strong in the corners and blended out to create more depth. I have hooded eyes, so it's really hard to get eyeshadow looking half nice sometimes. Also, winged liner tends to get lost in my eyelids due to not having much of an eyelid. As you can see in the photo below my crease starts very close to my lash line, so I have to cheat my crease by using darker shades higher than my actual lid crease. I then swept Tone and Strong underneath my eyes and blended it out. I then added winger linger, my brows, mascara and fake lashes - because you know I love fake lashes!

Overall, I love this look! It's dark, but not too dark! The softness of the shade Partial gives it a more day time feel, but the dark crimsons suggest that it can be worn through to the evening! I adore this palette, and for £6.99 you really can't complain!

MAKEUP REVOLUTION HALLOWEEN PARTY/FREEDOM FINAL

When I was invited to Makeup Revolution's second party of the year, I couldn't say no. Their 2nd Birthday party, which you can read here, was incredible - it was going to be difficult to top it. Their venue, event and goody bags were phenomenal last year so I was coming to the event with high expectations as they had raised the bar so high because of their previous bash. This event wasn't just a Halloween party but their freedom final. This event held the promise of goody bags, cocktails, the freedom final and a party according to our home-sent invites, so me and many other bloggers were drumming up hype on social media, a lot of us excited for what the goody bags held as their last ones from the previous event were amazing. The venue was decked out amazingly! The swanky venue had some amazing Halloween touches that I was discovering all through the evening. On arrival I was handed a fruity alcoholic beverage which was lovely, and there was also an open bar if we fancied any thing else during the evening. I loved that we could get up close and personal with their products, just like the previous event, however some areas weren't as lit as others, so it was hard to get a proper look - but I guess dim lighting was needed for an extra spooky feel!

The food on the night was exceptional! The waiters were constantly handing out an array of canapes and always making sure everyone didn't go hungry. Hilariously I became friends with a waiter as I obviously love food, so he was coming over tempting me with food before anyone else. After an hour of chatting, eating and drinking, it was time to meet the finalists. 

It was lovely to meet the finalists, and it was so much fun being able to see their amazing looks in person. Each one of them are insanely talented, and each one was as humble as the other, talking about how appreciative they were for getting so far. After meeting them we had a chance to vote. It was so lovely that we had an input on who the winner would be! After another hour of drinking and dancing, it was time to announce the winner. Lorna, the girl with half a skull painted on her face, was the winner! She won £20,000 with the others also winning a generous £1000. Each of them looked amazing and it was truly hard to work out who was going to win! After the winner was announced, I unfortunately had to go home as I had a long train journey ahead of me. As we left we were handed some sweets and a pompom key ring which was a nice touch,

A few days after the event I noticed I had missed out on getting my hands on some makeup revolution products at the event which I was gutted about - I didn't realised there were opportunities to get anything - so I'm upset that I couldn't review some products for you all! Regardless of that, the event was brilliant. Makeup Revolution know how to party, and Adam is super lovely in person. It's great seeing that the person behind the brand genuinely cares about their customers and bloggers, it makes me want to stay loyal to the brand and continue to use their products.

Thanks again to Makeup Revolution for going above and beyond, your bash was just as good as your two year party - so here's to many more years ahead!

MAKEUP REVOLUTION ULTRA BLUSH PALETTE GOLDEN SUGAR 2 ROSE GOLD - REVIEW AND SWATCH

I had this palette for a few months now, and it has quickly become my favourite palette for highlight and blush. It has every shade for every look you're after. When I first got it I used it a little and then forgot about it, and now I've started using it again I have no idea why I stopped. It's now my most used and most raved about blush palette of the moment, and I constantly get compliments. 

Makeup Revolution is one of my favourite brands for affordable and quality makeup. Being constantly on a budget, Makeup Revolution is any girls best friend. This palette is a bargain at £6, which works out at £1.33 a blush, which is crazy value. How could you say no?

The metallic shades in this palette are perfect for a highlight. All you need to do is lightly dip the brush into the pan and pick up the tiniest bit of product. If you're using this palette for the highlight you'll be using this for a long, long time. I've been using this daily for a few months, and there's not a dent in the pan to be seen. The first blush in this palette, the first swatch below, is beautiful. On my pale complexion it's gorgeous. It has a rosy, natural sheen to it that looks fresh on the skin. I then dust the third blush in this palette lightly on my cheek bones, nose and brow bone for a subtle champagne highlight. I love this for highlight, and it's my most reached shade. The bottom row are more rich in colour and looks gorgeous on the lid. The third one in from the bottom gives my eyes some serious bronze sparkle, perfect for the autumn/winter seasons.  

Overall, I love this palette. There's not a shade in here that I don't like. There's also some matte browns for contour, I loved wearing them in the summer, sunny days. It's an all round great palette, and perfect for travel. There's blushes, highlighters and contour shades, as well as some versatile shades for the eyes. For £6 it's an absolute steal.

NEW-TRALS VS NEUTRALS PALETTE MAKEUP REVOLUTION - FULL SWATCH AND REVIEW

It's no secret that I'm a huge Makeup Revolution fan, and I fell in love with them all over again at their birthday bash earlier in the year. I've got a few of their palettes now due to how affordable and great quality everything is - I'm yet to be let down. And their continuing reign of having the most beautiful and inexpensive products doesn't end here. The New-trals vs Neutrals palette is possibly my favourite one of theirs to this day. I was given this by the lovely Carly in a beauty box swap, so shout out to her for giving me the opportunity to own this!

This is going to be my summer palette for sure. I've fallen in love with peach shades as I love reds and oranges with my blue eyes. I feel it makes them stand out, and looks a lot more interesting than the browns I used to go for. I've swatched each shade, going from the top row from left to right and again with the bottom so you can see them a little more up close!

Of course I have some favourite shades in this palette! Vogue is one of my favourites and you can see why. It is the perfect bright, vibrant peach shade with INSANE pigmentation. As I swatched this on my arm, I was instantly impressed and wanted to smear it all over my eyelids. I love this under my eye and blended out into my crease with a simple eyeliner wing. I was this look to work and a lady complimented how blue my eyes are, and I totally put it down to Vogue. Tone is another one of my favourites from the top row as it's a bold berry shade which is perfect to wear in the warm summer evenings through to the cold autumn days. Again it has mental colour payoff, and blends like an absolute dream. The rest of the shades on that row are as brilliant as those in texture and pigmentation, but those two happen to catch my eye. 

On the bottom row my eyes are instantly drawn to Strong. It's a beautiful black matte based shadow with loads of reddish shimmer and sparkle. It's honestly beautiful. It's so buttery and glided on my arm perfectly. It looks beautiful with a smokey eye too, adding a little red-toned mystery. As said before, the rest on this row are so so pretty and have great pigmentation. There's not one shade in this palette that I didn't like or had trouble with, other than Cool which is a little thin for me, but on my pale complexion it works well. Other than that little hiccup, which isn't really too much of an issue, Makeup Revolution should be super proud of this palette. It is an all round beautiful palette. And because it's so cheap (£6.99 would you believe it) you can take it on holiday, through it in your bag and not get upset if it gets lost as you can easily replace it. Winner.

MAKEUP REVOLUTION 2 YEAR PARTY

A month or so ago I was incredibly bowled over about being invited to the Makeup Revolution 2 year event. I've been a MUR fan since the beginning - I remember Tweeting them, awaiting it to appear in my local Superdrug. Since that moment Makeup Revolution have gone from strength to strength and to prove that they threw an incredible two year party inviting people in the industry and other fellow bloggers. I was completely overwhelmed with their respect and appreciation towards bloggers, and it was exactly what I needed to get back into blogging again after taking a break to settle down in my new house and job. After attending the event it made me insanely motivated, and has made me really really appreciate and love the brand more than I could've thought. I now want to try every thing they have to offer! It's incredible seeing a brand want to give back to their customers and bloggers, so thank you. The event was held at the beautiful Cafe De Paris with a classy burlesque feel which I adored. When I walked into the event I was greeted by a lovely lady on the door who handed me a small leaflet to say I could collect a goody bag at the end, which I didn't expect. Most events have had goody bags in the past, but it's something I never expect - Especially an event this big! When I walked into the main room, there were monitors all around us, showcasing bloggers and Youtubers talking and showing off the Makeup Revolution products which was a really nice touch. People walked around giving out cocktails and wine and countless plates of gorgeous canapes. After grabbing a cocktail, I walked around the edges of the room to take pictures of their products which where displayed beautifully (And all their products are cruelty free! Hurrah!).

It was so lovely to be able to get a proper look at new and old products, as sometimes it's hard too in Superdrug. It was great to see new products I hadn't seen in my local Superdrug yet, so I now have a long list of things I'd like to get when they grace the shelves! I am in NEED of the Strobe Balms and I've been eyeing them up on social media. I am way too excited to get my hands on them. My all time favourite Makeup Revolution product is the Highlighter in Golden Lights. It's hands down the best highlighter I've come across and the pigmentation is unbelievable. I use it in the corner of my eyes as well as my cheeks, and I've used it on a few of my clients too. I will always recommend that highlighter for a ethereal, glowing look. After I had a nose at the products, Adam Minto, the owner of Tam, started his speech, and talked about some amazing things to come to 2016 in the world of Makeup Revolution and the sister brands. Then Daisie Smith made a speech leading on to talk about the other incredible things happening this year. 

One of the amazing things which you can get involved with now is their Makeup Revolution app. You can find out which stores stock what, and some cool sneak peaks of products! It's a really handy app to have so get downloading! Another thing that's happening which EVERYONE should get excited about is a competition! But none like you've seen before... It's the XFactor of makeup artists with 3 rounds, runner up prizes of £1000 and a grand prize of £10,000. Superdrug then came to the front of the stage to say they are going to match that prize! The crowd was speechless. The winner will also receive a years supply of the products which is insane. They also mentioned their first ever collaboration with British Beauty Blogger which you can see above. It looks gorgeous! After the speech we all got our groove on, drinking drinks and networking. It was great to see different bloggers blend as one. To top the night off, Scott Mills was the DJ! He played great tuned throughout the night, and even some of the cast of TOWIE were dancing in the crowd. It truly was an amazing representation of the brand, and something I will treasure. I am blessed to have been considered as part of their makeup journey, so thank you Makeup Revolution for making me feel welcome.
