VEET EASYWAX ELECTRICAL ROLL ON KIT AND ROLL ON REFILL REVIEW

I was recently asked to review this by the people over at BzzAgent. I rarely shave and I'm always waxing, so this was exactly the type of product I would use and love. This new EasyWax kit from Veet enables you to wax any area of your body with ease. Here to show you I have the main Roll-On Kit and a Roll-On Refill.
In the first kit we have the main hand-held device, a wax refill with a larger roller, the cable to plug in a heat up the devise, a dock, waxing strips and 4 Veet wipes.
In the EasyWax Refill pack we have a wax refill with a smaller roller for the bikini line, under arms or the hard to get areas along with Veet wipes and strips.
For comparison, the one on the left is from the refill kit, and the one on the right is from the main kit. The one from the main kit is easier for the legs.
The waxing strips seem to have a 'recycled' paper feel about them with tissue that seems to look as if it's been bound together, but still has a soft yet firm feel about it.

So how does it all work?

You plug the lead into the main device and slide a wax cartridge of your choice into it. It says that you only need 20 mins for the hand-held waxer to heat up, but I think that's very, very wrong. I read a few more reviews just to see if I had got this completely wrong, but other bloggers did have the same problem. I had to keep it heating for one whole hour before I could even try to wax as before that amount of time the wax just wouldn't roll onto my leg. An hour isn't too bad if you pop it on, then go do something and come back to it, but an hour to heat up wax is a little excessive. Once the wax had heated, unplug the device as it keeps hot for about half an hour. The wax rolls onto the roller which you can then smooth over your leg in the direction of hair growth to leave a mess-free wax line. The wax is at a perfect temperature and there's no burning at all. Pop on the strip and smooth over. Leaving a 2cm gap at the bottom, quickly peel off in the opposite direct to leave your legs silky smooth. I felt that some hairs could be missed, but I just tweezer them off which I would do in waxing anyway, so no difference there. Then I just pop on one of the finishing wipes to get rid of any stickiness left behind, and then you're good to go. The leg cartridge lasts up to 4 sessions, so with the cartridge retailing at £9.99, each session is around the £2.50 mark, not bad at all.

I really like this product as I've had so many accidents with a hot wax pot and water. The amount of times I've dropped wax everywhere or the boiling water, this is a godsend. I'm a bit annoyed about how long it takes to heat up but that's the down side I'm willing to live with now I can wax with ease and no mess. Hurrah!

The Veet EasyWax Electrical Roll On Kit retails for £29.99* but you can currently get this half price at Superdrug. The refill retails at £9.99* from Boots. Would you try this out?

MURAD HYBRID SKIN PERFECTING PRIMER BLEMISH AND SHINE CONTROL REVIEW

I've always been on the hunt for the perfect face primer. I've had GOSH and Mac in the past, but this baby really is a new found favourite of mine. But what does this claim to do? And does it do what it says on the bottle?
This Skin Perfecting Primer reduces and prevents breakouts with Salicylic Acid while evening and refining skin texture. Used under or in place of foundation, this dual-functioning cosmetic treatment minimises the appearance of pores and eliminates shine, leaving the skin with a smooth, matte finish.
Skin Perfecting Primer Blemish and Shine Control is part of Murad's award-winning Hybrids line of cosmetic treatments, designed for individuals who want to disguise flaws, enhance skin texture and improve overall skin health.
Two things I've always had problem with, shiny skin and break outs. As it's exam season, I'm prone to a bunch of spots due to stress, so I was delighted to try this when Baobella contacted me asking if I wanted to try it out.
This 30ml bottle comes with a handy pump which doesn't dispense too much of the product, and one to two pumps covers my whole face. My first impression when I first pumped this creamy liquid out was 'Oh my gosh it's too dark for my skin!' and I was really unsure how it was going to sit on my ghostly complexion. To my surprise, the primer seemed to melt into my skin leaving no residue or colour behind which I really loved and really surprised me!
Above, pumped.
Above, blended.

I tested this primer out everyday for the a whole week so I could give it a good trial. It battled cold weathers, hot weathers, sweating in dance class, and I even wore it in place of foundation as it stated you can do. Now let's test its theory.
Blemishes - I had no break outs at all when wearing this, and I was so thankful. With exams going on this was a saviour, and I even noticed a difference in my redness in my skin, and could see an improvement in my skin tone. I simply love that this primer prevents break outs, and it's a real winner for me.
Shine - I have such a shiny nose, and this little bottle of magic mattified my nose perfectly. It seemed to even out my skin texture and made my skin ready for its foundation. It gave my skin a really lovely fresh look which I loved.
Pores - I find pore minimising products so hit and miss, and this really did the job beautifully. It smoothed out my skin and made my pores appear smaller. I've never had a massive problem with pores, but I have a few around my nose that I can see when I'm looking up close, but I was glad that this disguised the ones I can see.
Foundation - I love using this in place of foundation. I only use this in place of foundation for dance as if gives my skin a mattified look which is exactly what I need when I'm in a sweaty dance class! The Science of Cellular Water, which is in the formula helps keep skin hydrated which I love as I do have dry skin. I love that this doesn't stick to my dry skin either, like I know some primers/foundation do have a habit of. As a base for my foundation it keeps my foundation in place through the morning all the way through to the evening which I think is amazing, and keeps my skin looking fresh and 'glowy'.
This is an absolute winner of a product and as soon as I run out, I will be repurchasing. However this is a slightly pricey primer for £29* from the Murad website or leading spa's, but for me I really love how it works with my skin and I believe is an investment if you're willing to give up £30 for a primer. Overall a great primer and I doubt I'll go back to another!

BAREMINERALS ADVANCED PROTECTION SPF20 MOISTURIZER FOR COMBINATION SKIN

I hadn't tried bareMinerals before, so I was really excited to try this out. I'm forever buying different skin products so you can see my excitement for trying this one! First thing that excites me is the chic packaging. Simple, clean, yet pretty to look at. You know exactly what you're getting just by reading the front, no information like some products claiming to do everything under the sun. The bareMinerals Advanced Production SPF20 Moisturizer for combination skin has 20SPF - Hurrah!! - With ActiveSoil Complex that provides essential nutrients to your skin.
When using this the first thing I knew is how much like sun cream this looked, and surprisingly Holly Arabella said the same! There's a soft smell to it that isn't too overwhelming and smells quite natural. When rubbing it into my face I noticed that it feels slightly greasy. With combination skin,  shiny nose area and dry patches, I found that this left a residue on my face. I find that my skin doesn't absorb it overly well, so I struggle to use it before applying my make up. However, even though it left my skin rather greasy it does absorb after about 5-10 minutes but still leaves a slight shine, but easily fixed with powder. I really like using this as a night cream, but I don't think it really helps sort out the more shiny areas of my face. I do like this moisturizer but I feel that it doesn't work well with my skin. But what works for me might not for you! Everyone's skin is different.
Overall I like this moisturizer. It sorts out my dry areas a treat and it has 20SPF which is great for the warmer days! It does leave a shiny residue on my face which I'm not too fond of, but its good to use before bed time!
Grab yours from bareMinerals online for £27. You can choose from a tinted one for more of a glow, or a clear one like that one I've reviewed. The lovely Holly Arabella gave me this to try.

GARNIER PURE ACTIVE DEEP PORE UNCLOGGING WASH REVIEW

My skin is combination and has the occasional spots. Sorry if this grosses anyone out, but I suffer with bad black heads on my nose. Have done for years and no matter how much cleansing and washes I use, nothing seems to make them disappear. I picked up this recently from my nearest beauty store and I have never looked back. I've never really used Garnier for skin care but I now know to try more of their products out.
When you've pressed the handy pump, enough of the clear blue tinted gel is dispensed to use on the whole face. It's easily lathered into a smooth white froth with help of some water which is easily massaged onto the face. I focus on my T-Zone when using this - Forehead, nose and chin. When lathering it on my face I noticed it had a cooling effect and it really felt like it was cleaning my face. It had a slight smell of bathroom cleaner - You know that chemical smell? It claims to have results from the first wash and I do somewhat agree with that. After washing it off and drying my face with a towel I noticed that my dry areas didn't look as flaky but that was the only difference I had noticed. 3 days in I could see that my spots had faded and no new spots had appeared. My black heads looked slightly faded and my face was smooth. I'm now almost 2 weeks in, and using it morning and night I've noticed a big difference in my skin. I've had no new spots in 2 weeks and my black heads are on their way out. I really think that this could be the answer to my black head woes! Along side this I use a moisturiser as I notice that it can make my skin feel slightly dry.
This life saving gel was in £4.99 for 200mls from Superdrug, grab it from your nearest store.

Have you used Garnier for skin care before?
Does this appeal to you?
Do you recommend any products for clearing black heads?
I'd love to hear from you!
Thanks for reading, beautiful!

SOAP & GLORY HEEL GENIUS FOOT CREAM REVIEW

As I dance pretty much everyday and I'm always on my feet, my feet are the most driest part. Also, my feel are probably my most neglected area of my body, I rarely use creams or buff my feet. But now I have it all. This little beauty is a gift from god. It's easy, it's simple and does what it says on the tin (Well, bottle). The packing is very true to Soap & Glory, vintage, sleek and stands of the shelves above all other products. Better than a pedicure? Yes. DIRTY WORKS SHIMMER LOTION REVIEW AND SWATCH

This is the gorgeous Shimmer Lotion from Dirty Works. Dirty Works is exclusive Sainsbury's. This brands is dedicated to make you feel good with good clean fun! Dirty Works do a wide range of body products but also dabble in accessories. Their products are so eye catching and certainly stand out from the other products on the shelves. At first glance I notice how similar it seems to be with the Soap & Glory packaging, the pin up girl, the quirky writing. These are both similar in the fact that they like their vintage - and who doesn't?! What I love about this is the glittery/shimmery packaging. I am a complete sucker for anything that shines, so when I was given this I was just mesmerized. I also love how cheeky the packing is and how simple it is too. Looks gorgeous in my bathroom!
I love how shimmery the lotion is. It literally is a tube of sunshine. You'd be mad to not agree with me when I say that is looks beautiful. It's like summer in a bottle!! I can't wait to use this when I go to the beach in the summer to enhance the look of a sun kissed glow. This feels so smooth on me and also cools my skin. As you can see it's full of shimmer, so a little goes a long way! The lotion isn't gritty at all, and really applies smoothly. I am so happy with how it looks on the skin, and as a body shimmer lover I was very impressed. It gave my body a gorgeous glow that wasn't too much. I also love that the scent is so subtle too, it's fresh and summery which is ideal. It also dries quick too so as soon as you put it on your good to go leaving your skin smooth and soft. Overall, I love this and cannot wait to use it in the summer - or when I go out partying next! Grab this beautiful Body Works Bling It On Shimmer Lotion from Sainsbury's at half price now at £2.49, RRP £4.99. I was lucky to been given it by the lovely Holly Arabella - check out her blog! What a steal!

Would you wear something like this?

PALMER'S COCOA BUTTER FORMULAR SKIN THERAPY OIL REVIEW

This was another goody that was given to me by the lovely Holly Arabella. I was so excited to use this as my skin is dryer than the desert. First of all, I worried that it was going to be greasy like most oils are, so that was one thing that put me off trying it. Not only is my skin incredibly dry, I also have uneven skin tone and imperfections so I was curious to how this would work. Just before I received this my dry skin got out of control. Anyone who has me on Twitter may know that when I woke up one morning my face was tight, soar, red and most of all - my whole face was visibly dry. My eyelids where flaky, my cheeks were hurting and I couldn't touch my skin as it stung. To this day I still have no idea what caused this, I've never had dry skin so bad. I thought that a good step for me is to not wear any make up for that week. At first I started using Clinique Moisture Serge to sort it out, and then came to use this bad boy. It claims to improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks, dry or damaged skin, uneven skin tone and aging skin.
First there is a handy pump dispenser which is really handy. I'm not sure yet if I prefer a pump bottle or a spray. After putting one pump into my hand, I got the smell of gorgeous Cocoa. For some reason I really thought it was going to smell like oil (I have no idea why) but it smelt lovely. I then applied it sparingly to my face, concentrating on my most driest parts. For a few minutes I thought my face felt oily, so I went to the mirror but there was no traces of oil to be seen. After a few minutes longer I could no longer feel it on my face, and instantly my face felt a lot better. After 1 week of using this my face is almost back to it's normal self, only more plumper. I also used it on my body as it has dry patches too, and it worked a treat. Straight after coming out of he shower, before bed or when I wake up I pop this baby on straight away. My body thanks me for it! My skin feels like velvet once applied. I also dab a bit of this on my face now before I apply my make up instead of other moisturizers I used to use. This is by far the most versatile product I have come across, and it's answered my dry woes. You can get this in a few chemists, Boots (£9.49 for 150mls) and Superdrug. It may be a bit pricey for some people, but you get plenty of product and you only need 1 pump to cover and area. I am completely in love with this and will carry on using this until the bottle is empty!  Thank you so much for reading. Have you ever tried using this? What do you use for dry skin?

CLINIQUE MOISTURE SURGE REVIEW

I've had this little tube of goodness for a few months now, and I've been using it almost everyday. I've not used any Clinique products before and was so glad I got to try this. Once this gel-like-cream absorbed into the skin, my skin felt like silk. I have incredibly dry skin, especially on my nose, but I also have an oily t-zone. This didn't leave my face feeling oily at all. The gel felt light on my skin and left no residue, which is something I really love about this moisturiser. My skin loved me for using this. I use this a lot before applying make up as it gives me a smooth service to apply my foundation. Unfortunately this is only a sample size with 30mls, you can purchase the full size 50mls at £32.00 here http://www.clinique.co.uk/product/8388/5089/Skin-Care/hydration/Moisture-Surge-Extended-Thirst-Relief/All-Skin-Types/index.tmpl. I gave this little product a 9/10. It seriously does wonders. The only downside I have is the price. As student I can't afford to splurge like this. But if you have the money and want something good for your skin, I would recommend this. Let me know if you've had the pleasure in trying this in the comments below! Thanks for reading!

LUSH SWEET LIPS LIP SCRUB REVIEW

I bought this Lush Lip Scrub today and was eager to try it out. After borrowing my flatmates a few times I thought it was time to get my own!! I chose the chocolate flavoured one which is half price at the moment, usually RRPing at £5.25, but mine was £2.62 - an absolute bargain!
As all ingredients is natural and edible, the main base to this scrub is sugar! Mine also had cocoa and vanilla to create its gorgeous chocolate smell.
As you can see, before my lips are shiny, chapped and dry. After using the scrub I felt and saw results straight away. I used a small amount of the product and scrubbed for about 2 minutes, and licked it off! I noticed that my lips where a lot smoother, sorting out any uneven ridges. There wasn't a dry part to be seen, and due to the exfoliating effect my lip colour became more even. I really loved using this, and I recommend putting a moisturising lip butter on after using to give your lips more hydration. This is a perfect product to use before applying lipstick as it gives it an even and smooth base, making the most of your lipstick. Really loved using this, and so glad I picked it up. A massive thumbs up from me and my first 10/10!
